Rexx Tools Developed:
Tool Name: XML Log Extractor
In the MetLife Relational Product System the transactions can be keyed in through CICS screens as well as the SmartApp Screen(Web Based .net frontend)
The Web based XML calls to the backend Mainframe DB2 tables will be processed by set of mainframe jobs.
When any of these jobs fails the timestamp value will be thrown as an error message by the mainframe jobs.
The XML file will be backed by only at the end of day by the mainframe jobs. Hence the XML log file for the particular day will be a huge flat file of variable length.
When one or many SmartApp front end calls are failed. This tool helps to extract out the input and output XML response from the log file.
This tool can take any number of timestamp values as input and provides its input and output response XML logs for debugging purpose.
Manual Effort reduced around 80%
Tool Name: Direct Connect
The MetLife Mainframe systems run around various logical partitions.
This tool helps to send and receive files around all the MetLife logical partitions.
Tool Name: G Panel
This is a generalized panel for the REXX Tools.
This panel invokes all the REXX utilities created in the system and provides a brief description about the tool.
The REXX utilities can also be invoked from this panel.
