This project is to provide the wider Global Information Services (GIS) organization with an understanding of both the current position and future aims of TSD with regard to the planning and execution of Cognos reporting projects. Cognos is currently deployed for the American Express (AMEX) Remote Account Management (RAM), Cisco programs located in the United Kingdom (UK) Contact Centre and it is also deployed for Orange Flexible Partnerships (Orange) program located in the Atria Contact Centre, India. Orange report on telecoms data held on an external switch, which is provided by the client as quarter-hourly flat files as similar to Cisco client. These are imported to tables in our “Client” SQL Server database.
• Amex RAM report on data from our CIDS customer contact system. Data from the Oracle production database is passed into a SQL server reporting database, containing highly customized tables of data, based on the particular requirements of RAM, located on NEWDW08.
• Cisco report on telecoms data held on an external switch, which is provided by the client as quarter-hourly flat files. These are imported to tables in our “Client” SQL Server database.

This is based on SCRUM model. We have been working to make the functionalities generic across all the clients. We have taken Interactive soft works which is based on three tier architecture. The first tier belongs to the interactive server where all the generic application logic reside and also responsible for managing the servers and services. The second tier service manager is responsible for the performance of the different services, load balancing and reliability. The last tier contains Metaphor interaction studio and Enterprise Manager. Metaphor interaction studio is where the entire GUI is build and all the business logic will be implemented here. The Enterprise Manager is responsible for creating logs, configure and maintain servers, conducting stress tests on different services.

It is a collection of independent services that offer flexibility in developing the applications.
As it is a collection of independent services, it is developed on the basis of SCRUM model which is very effective.
It is based on a three tier architecture which simplifies the distribution of Business logic and application logic, which in turn, the application logic can be separated as a separate service and then be used in other workflows.
The interactive server supports log views and stress tests which enable to know about the performance of the services, servers and load balancing.
