Summary:

Having experience for more than 14 years in the field of Stevedoring, Container Terminals, Logistics and Automobile Industry and I have been given exposure to the Shipping field. Now my position was appointed as Asst Manager Stevedoring services in APM Terminal at Khalifa Bin Salman Port (Bahrain) and main function of role is to organize the smooth drive for vessels operation and involved in areas like documentation, Team handling, administration & CFS to assign the required facility for operations.

I have previous experience as a planning Superintendent (Asst.Mnr) in Container terminal at (L&T ports) and Superintendent - Container terminal (PSA CHENNAI) at Chennai port.

Operation ASST Manager at APM Terminals in Stevedoring

July 2014 –Till date at Khalifa Bin Salman Port, Bahrain

Nature of work: Stevedoring division in APM Terminal at Khalifa Bin Salman Port (Bahrain) to manages and controls the daily activities of the Container Vessel, CFS, RORO and General Cargo Section, particularly escalating the operation focal point of overall operational organizer within APMT Terminals.

Implementation and operation applies to the application of plans and requires the provision and use of adequate personnel and resources, communication and consultation, training and competency, hazard identification, assessment and risk control procedures, reporting, investigating records and information management and adequately documented administrative procedures and work instructions

Continuously checks the work progress of vessel and CFS operations and updates time to time.

Services of Container vessel/ Break Bulk Cargo/Car Carrier/ Ro-Ro vessel/ C.F.S./General Cargoes etc… Providing services to operate container Trucks drivers/ Forklift operators/ crane operators etc…

Attend daily port meeting and all other necessary works related to operation.

Providing work force as per the requirements and finishing the job within a time period in a safety routine.

Review of HSE progress with SOP and monitor the challenging, assessment requirements specified by regulation for the operational activities

Escalation HSSE to safety & forecast for awareness. Record reports accurately and efficiently and ensure Tool Box Meeting in assigned area with NMPI information.

Employing and conducting interviews to candidate’s as per the company recruitment’s needs.

Dealing with the Rosters, Invoices and costumer services in day to day activities.

Coordination of warehousing activities with those of other departments, including Production, EHS

Coordinate and optimize all inbound and outbound Shipments facility

Responsible for all import and export customs clearances, customs inspections

Supervise of Operation documents and invoices, check on cost action in all the fields

Operation Planning Superintendent at L&T Ports KICT

November 2011 – July 2014 (2 years 9 months) Chennai Area, India

Manages and controls the daily activities of the Vessel, Documentation and Gate Section, particularly in escalating the sections capabilities of overall operational control and communication within Terminal.

Continuously checks the work progress of vessel and yard operations and updates superior from time to time. Ensures that all pre-planned activities and set performance targets are being followed and attained.

Monitors and ensures that cargoes, drivers and trucks entering and exiting the terminal are controlled, checked and given access. Ensures the smooth flow of traffic in the entrance and exit gates within the stipulated TTT (Truck Turnaround Time).

Provides support to Operations by ensuring that the documents required for various aspects of Terminal operations are collected, Handles the release of all Import and Export containers process the disbursements made on behalf of each vessel and update on a daily basis.

• Managing and controlling the entire Terminal operations includes liaising with customs, port officials and vendors, logistics business and also client handling which is back bone of service industry.

• Handling various queries regarding documentation and co-ordinate with all line Cha/Agents & CFS.

• Monitoring and controlling of all CFS activities in shift with subordinate.
