Manage team of Scada Software Engineers engaged in designing, documenting, and developing software solutions for North American clients. .

Review and update code as required to ensure, best coding practices being followed, throughout the project development.

Organize and conduct project and customer meetings for progress reporting.

Daily scrums for any roadblock or issues during development.

Organize show and tell to analyze progress and receive customer feedback. .

Special Projects:

1.Alarm system project – This project was to issue an alarm, if the Point(Circuit Breaker) tripped(open/close) more than configured amount of time and period. .

2.Operator control system project – This project was to allow an operator to control a Breaker(Open/Close) in the circuit and issue a popup message to confirm before execution.

3.Control Interlock project - This project was to allow Control lock on the Point and only allow after operator confirms the execution.

4.SCADA Field Time enhancement – This project was to enhance SCADA API to read and write the event field time for Point and Analogs in Scada.

5.Delayed Alarming enhancement – This project was to delay alarming Analog Limit violation, if persists more than configured period of time.

6.Develop SCADA custom calculations to automate mathematical calculations for telemetered SCADA measurements and controls.

Scada Protocols Project –

Analyze/debug customer reported Protocol communication issues with DNP (TCPIP/Serial), Modbus, L&G8979(TCPIP/Serial) protocols. Fix the Protocol related issues and retest with customer model to validate the functionality.

Enhanced Modbus code to write discrete controls to a holding preset single register.

Support Digi and Bit to Byte configuration for RTUs.

Brainaris Pvt. Ltd., India January 2003 – January 2006

Key Projects:

Accounting Project -This product was an ongoing accounting system project for one of the leading banks in India. My responsibilities included developing Java Server packages, Servlet/JSP for user interface and Java Beans for middleware. Developing the Web Pages using JSP, Java Applets, JavaScript, DHTML and graphics tools. I was also engaged in unit testing. I helped resolve build issues and assisted in integrated testing.

Loan System Project – I helped create a loan status system to streamline the process of mortgage handling by a large bank. The system utilized Java and servlet technology on the front end, and Oracle as database server for storage. The platform used JBOSS as an application server for deployment, JBUILDER for development and XML to store larger amount of data, to support ease of flexibility.

I also helped develop additional utilities to receive and consolidate data feeds from various other systems utilized by the bank.

I implemented an application in C for a telephone company to process data and to provide alarms and warning based on the values of the data. This application also had an interface with Oracle database to get and set the query as needed by the user.

I designed and implemented LAN for the EDP office of one of the clients’, which involved configuring routers and switches based on the client’s requirements. The responsibility also included fixing the network related issues with the minimum down time.

I played the role of system administration for a while to troubleshoot Linux and Unix servers running on HP UX 11i operating system.

INTERNSHIP

Hawtal Whiting Ltd. is an engineering services company using CAE (Computer Aided

Engineering) software tools to develop innovative solutions for their customers. Its primary clients include GM, Pontiac, and Ford etc. Company used DYNA, Pam and Nastran as third party software on a day-to-day basis to fulfill its requirements. As an intern, I was working as an active team member of this company. My responsibilities included:

Sorting out a queuing /submission script for jobs to be run on the Linux machines for DYNA, Pam & Nastran. This job had to be from the current origin user discs (or replacement) such that backing up will be less of a problem. Standardize all Computer Aided Engineering machines such that they have as much commonality as possible. All LINUX servers should appear to be identical to all users submitting Portable Batch Script (PBS) job. Investigation of the best way forward for company’s archiving/backup needs for the future. This company is presently using Legato Network for archiving/backup.
