SJSU HONOR’S PROGRAM PROJECT

Data Automation, Unity Care Sept 2016 – May 2017

Project: Developed a tool using VBA that can automate the check in and check out process for tutors within Unity Care. The user simply picks their Name, Tutor Center Division, Subject, and Student from a dropdown list and the tool will automatically log in his/her time. When the tutor is completed, he or she can hit the sign out button to sign out. This data is then recorded each time. The tool uses this data over time to automatically update a dynamic report pivot report with graphs for Unity Care managers to report on.

Results:

Before: Unity Care had to manually Sign In and Sign Out on paper which is inefficient for tracking hours and creating reports.

After: The Sign In and Sign Out process is now automated resulting in an increase efficiency and accuracy.

BUSINESS PROJECTS

Data Automation, Bay Area College Consulting May 2016 – July 2016

Wrote Excel VBA scripts that automate the data extraction of specific college data (Acceptance rate, rank, tuition, etc.) from a website

Used VBA Programming and Excel 2013 web query to write a VBA script that could automatically pull in fresh data that is scattered from that site and auto format it into a report in excel.

Results:

Before: Manual data extraction of specific college data (Acceptance rate, rank, tuition, etc.) from a website and formatting it properly into excel would take hours or days.

After: By using VBA Programming and excel 2013 web query, the same work can be done automatically in less than 1 minute with greater accuracy

Data Analyst, US Ship Shop Oct 2016 – June 2017

Created a Facebook page called US Ship Shop with many convenient features, such as customer service forms, customer claim and feedback form, quotation forms, and product links

Used google forms to create the forms and link them on Facebook

Created an automatic quotation system.

Results:

Received the customers requested through his/her emails

Automated collection and archiving of their customer’s order information on google drive.

Replied back to a customer with a quote within minutes.

Viewed the US Ship Shop’s online reports form and process the request.
