PRISM: Support of Project PRISM (Project portfolio and Information Systems Management) is a tool to plan forecast and manage spending for projects within US Pipelines and Logistics Business Unit.

RR-Travel Tool: The US Pipelines & Logistics Reward & Recognition (R&R) web application provides a centralized, web based GUI front to assist with the USPL R&R nomination process and to record and optionally display previous award recipients. The application makes use of a Microsoft SQL Server database to store the R&R nominations and their associated approval information.

JST: JST is a web based tool which allows the application user to map an employee to an exam which he has to complete and sends the schedule across to prometric centers.

To aid the identification of these exempt permits, and to avoid the invoice admin having to spend time opening other systems.

Changes to the permit application to include the works description with the permit details imported from Insight and addin up a new field to display the works description.

Project Description:

After the commencement of permit regulation act by the DFT, Thames Water would need to issue permits instead of notices to Highway councils. Highway councils will have a choice to work on either Notice or Permit scheme. Thames Water would issue permits to permit enable Highway council electronically using Work-Management system and Notice-Management systems. A new application, permit application, would be developed to record pay permits invoices. The permit application would be developed by using existing FPN application infrastructure and a new interface with PeopleSoft would be developed to pay permit invoices. The Permit fees would be paid via PeopleSoft. Permits could be recorded automatically and manually. The automatically recorded Permits come from Insight on a daily batch process.

Project Description:

The invoices would be sent from Highway Authority (HA) to Fixed Penalty Noticing (FPN Team) team by Mail or Fax. FPN team would record the invoice details manually onto the FPN application. The FPN team will then check for validity of error reported by HA council manually by logging onto Vistec/JMS/HW1 applications and either agree or rebut. If FPN team approves the Invoice, emails would be triggered to respective Budget Unit (BU) to notify. All approved/authorized Invoices will be transferred to PeopleSoft via FTP for payment to Highway Councils (HC). An acknowledgement of the payment would be received back as a text file from PeopleSoft.

The New Roads and Street works Act has been reinforced by the introduction of the Traffic Management Act. This Act gives Highway Authorities additional powers and reinforces others. Amongst the provisions is the facility to issue Fixed Penalty Notices for failure to serve the prescribed notices within the prescribed periods. These Fixed Penalty Notices will carry a fine of £120 with a discount of £40 if paid within 29 days. So, the proposed system is a payment authorization application where in the invoice processing is automated for validation, authorization and payments.
