Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation Switching Inverter (PIC, MATLAB, Hardware)

• Used MATLAB/Simulink for simulation and implemented hardware. The switching signals for the IGBTs in the inverter are generated from PIC18f microcontroller.

• Gives better fundamental voltage and harmonic performance compared with other PWM schemes. ALU and Traffic Light Controller (Verilog, ModelSim, FPGA)

• RTL Design of a traffic light Controller and 4-bit ALU for the required specifications. Implemented on Altera DE0 Nano SoC using Quartus II and validated on Cyclone V FPGA. Programmed in Verilog, simulated in ModelSim. Design Automation Tool for Bipartition, Placement and Routing of cells (C++, GCC MINGW Compiler, MAGIC)

• Used Kernighan - Lin Algorithm for Placement, tested on 50000 cells and 500000 nets successfully.

• Implemented Force Directed algorithm for placement on 1000 cells and reduced wire length by 70%.

• Performed routing on 1000 nets for these cells using Lee’s Maze Routing Algorithm and achieved 90% routing.
