Safety Program Manager

UNITED STATES NAVY - 1997 - Present

Manages NAVOSH training, hazard and mishap reporting, mishap investigation and safety equipment for multiple Navy organizations

• Oversaw 27work center safety representatives coordinating over 7,000 safety training requirements for 469 organization personnel with a 95% completion rate as the Enterprise Safety and Management System Coordinator

• Chairman for 65 Enlisted Safety Council Meetings, providing communication of safety concerns to upper and lower management

• Created and distributed 38 Safety Newsletters providing up-to-date information

• Coordinated with Base Security for a vulnerability / threat assessment of the facilities; conducted active shooter training events for 100% of all assigned personnel

Airframes Manager

Supervised 14 personnel in the performance of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on four EA - 6B aircraft.

Maintenance Manager

Directed the completion of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on eight MH - 60s Helicopters. Provides combat ready MH - 60s support for the Naval Air Ambulance Department in Kuwait and the Helicopter Target Launch and Target/Torpedo recovery operations in support of the Director.

• Supervised 7 Corrosion Control Technicians in the completion of over 4,000 discrepancies

• Led composite repair teams in repairs of aircraft structures on three platforms leading to faster than procurement turn-around times saving multiple organizations over $451,000

• As the Corrosion Control Program Manager tracked the qualifications and quarterly training of 162 maintenance personnel; efforts resulted in 94% of personnel trained and zero flight hours lost due to corrosion discrepancies

• As the Respiratory Protection Program Manager created standard operating procedures to comply with NAVOSH regulations, responsible for tracking annual qualifications, training and fit tests for 98 respirator users

• As Emergency Reclamation Program Manager, performed 10 ERT drills, and quarterly training for 48 team members
