Responsible for the tools development of new projects for our Metal-forming and Sheet metal process this includes working in a team with other engineering and manufacturing disciplines in the development and application of processes to increase production quality, efficiency or volume. Verify, and validate new and existing tools for manufacturing processes. Create, maintain and update tool design and component drawings of various complexity using customer drawings, sketches, and verbal direction to provide a finished product that meets or exceeds customer expectations. Conduct new tool kickoff meetings, clarify suppliers understanding of project concept and deliverables, work through product/tooling design and draft issues, obtain and gain approvals of gate/parting line/ejection plans, review and approve preliminary and final tool designs and data, obtain regular status report and confirm with supplier visits, work through all issues to resolution.
