INTERNSHIP AND PROJECTS

Summer Internship at JINDAL STEEL LIMITED for a Period of 15 Days.

Worked on “Design of torch head for IRB 2600” in ABB INDIA, Robotics division for a period of three months.

The objective of the project is to design the torch head mechanism and execute the project of welding the terminals of the battery ensuring better quality and flexibility using ABB Robots (LIVE PROJECT).

Worked on Material Management Process in ABB INDIA, ROBOTICS division employing 5S Methodology in order to segregate materials and ensuring its availability without any delay in production time.

TECHNICAL COURSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

• AutoCAD and Solidworks software training at Swamy Design Solutions, Basaveshwarnagar, Bangalore.

• Pursuing “MACHINE TOOL DESIGN – MECHANICAL”, an 8 weeks training programme at

“INDIAN MACHINE TOOL MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION” (IMTMA) Design Institute from 13 November 2017 to 6 January 2018. Machine tool design a comprehensive programme structured from engineering basics to a complete machine design on par with industry standards. The topics being:

Drafting standards and hands on practice on drafting of manufacturing drawing.

Limits, Fits, Tolerances and GD&T.

Design of machine elements.

Engineering materials and heat treatment.

Cutting tools and metal cutting theory.

3D modelling, assembly modelling and 2D drawings on Solidworks software. Design of CNC 2 axes Turning Center, a project carried out right from concept to final machine design.

Design of CNC Lathe right from customer input, machine concept and specification.

Preliminary design calculations for cutting forces and power requirement, spindle design, axes design and structural design.

Calculations on bearing life, spindle stiffness V-belt & pulley, selection of antifriction bearings, selection and calculation on ball screw & LM guide ways, casting design is being discussed in depth with hands on practice.

In addition overview of machine hydraulics & pneumatics of machine tools is added to enhance the knowledge on machine tool design.

• Part of runner up team of 4*100m relay competition held in 2012 AREA OF INTEREST AND HOBBIES
