Act as focal point for all emergencies and conducting awareness training for emergency preparedness. Carry out risk assessments and consider how risks could be reduced Review contractor work procedures and their effectiveness by aligning with EQUATE’s safe work procedures Ensure Isolation of energy sources, isolation tags and Master Cards (ECP) requirement are adequate. Ensure all types of tools and equipments are well maintained, inspected and operated as per standard. Advise requirement of PPEs in line with EQUATE’s Safety practices, ensure compliance and inspect. Assist and participate in emergency drills as required. Conduct monthly harness, extension cords, and ladder inspections. Conduct QEA Task for industrial hygiene needs such as heat stress, noise survey and ergonomics. Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing regulatory and compliance data and trends. Ensure all systems or part systems released shall be isolated, blinded and tagged by the Operations group prior to the permit being released.

Ensure the procedure being followed when activities to be carried out such as Mechanical Preparation, Chemical Cleaning, Physical Cleaning, Tightness test, Electrical testing/functional tests/energizing, loading of chemicals, loading of catalyst etc.

Ensure safety equipment’s like EBSS, deluge system, sprinkler system, fire hydrant, fire extinguisher, smoke detector and heat detectors are in place to protect in case of emergency. Conduct pre-commissioning audit to identify safe access and egress for safe operation, piping / equipment labels, NFPA, vehicle entry, pinch points, electrical binding, piping support, hanger support and ergonomic issues, etc.

Ensure ladders are installed with fall protection ladder gauge, without any obstruction and inspected. Accompanied with operation to be checked from an operating viewpoint such as proper location and orientation of valves, vents, drains, steam tracing and traps, sample connections, etc. ADMINISTRATION
