Objectives:

Ensure that all communications and materials in Oil rigs, Barge and Platforms are carried out in a responsible and safety manner in line with appropriate company policies, procedures and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities :

-Coor-dinate information activities within the operations area of responsibility

-Continuous radio monitoring on SSB, VHF Marine and Ground to air radio channel and attending incoming and outgoing radio calls

-Provide initial response to alarm in accomodation module, control room (notification to maint. / Operation team)

-Provide fax, emails, phone, sattelites, radio communication with vessels and helicopters

-Control radio channel (emergency and deck crew)

-Monitor a ll portable radios and gas detectors are always in good condition and batteries are always on charged

-Monitor all personnel get inside confined space and advise them to proceed to muster station if there is any emergency alarm activated on the rig

-Immediately report on usuual situation to higher executives

-24 hours daily monitoring on radios, phone, fax and emails.

-Update daily (P.O.B.), lifeboat list and room assignment to all incoming personnel onboard.

-Monitor H2S, Hydrocarbon and Fire alarm installed at radio room and notify all personnel to proceed to their muster station if there is any alarm arise on the platform or rigs then assist rig manager at command center to muster all personnel at their respective lifeboat stations .

-Communicate with Helicopter pilot before landing and take off on landing clerance, wind direction and speed and boat captain before tying up on the rig for offload / backload, taking fuel, water and bulk requirement .

-Prepare helicopter manifest to all outgoing passenger and give to the pilot then make helibooking for all outgoing passenger 1 to 3 days before they leave from rig or platform

-Monitor / secure weather forecast daily and give to the barge captain, companyman and rig manager

-Answer all International / local / internal phone call and send any report thru email or fax

-Prepare T-cards for all incoming passenger and put into their respective lifeboat assignment

-Assist Safety Officer in giving safety orientation to all newly onboard passengers and to all outgoing passenger for helicopter safety briefing

-Attend daily pre-tour / weekly safety meeting and discuss all safe and unsafe job condition before work started.

-Prepare Boat cargo manifest on all backload cargoes going in to onshore base and have it sign by the Companyman and give the original copy to the boat captain and fax or email to onshore warehouse base.

-Always get in touch with boat captain during taking any bulks, water and fuel requirement and make sure motorman is already aware and open the valves before giving go ahead instruction to start pumping any requirement to avoid incident.

-Notify Rig Manager / Barge Engineer / STS and Crane operator to make a cold work permit before any personnel to be offloaded from the boat as per company safety policies.

- Oversee material receipt, unloading and placement in assigned storage location.

- Check material received quantities and specification against order.

Maintain stock level of materials to ensure continuous availability.

Maintain records in Concept system as per Projects procedure.

Issue or distribute materials, products, parts as required.

Conduct regular inventory inspections

Carry out all requests from the site management as required Other Tasks

Assist other department when required.

Attend all toolbox talks and safety briefings.

Adhere to all HSE requirements and Codes of Conduct of the company.

Adhere to all Risk Assessments / Method Statements to ensure safe working practices.

Exercise a personal duty of care for own and teams health, safety and welfare and for those affected by the acts or omissions and promote the same within their work area of responsibility.

Use safety equipment (including PPE) as required and intended and observe that this is also enforced among subcontractors and third parties.
