Appraisal for initiating a pilot thermal project (SAGD, CSS or CSI) for unconsolidated sandstone in the Bakken formation, in the Williston Basin. Conceptual static/dynamic model built using Petrel and converted to “CMG-Builder” and analyzed by CMG-STARS and CMG-CMOST; economic impact on variables such as NPV and IRR.

Supported, optimized, monitored and enhanced more than 48 waterflood schemes, (1600 wells including 250 injectors). Responsible for maintaining and monitoring 77,000 BOEPD. Technical RE advisor and corporate representative to deal with the Alberta Energy Regulator agency (AER).
Generated reports to the AER on EOR projects such as waterfloods, CO2 scheme’s performance and monitoring, such for Joffre-Viking, an oil field in Alberta.
Built and simulated in PETREL, Phase I of a pilot project. 5 Hz multi-fracture stimulated producers/injectors for a tight unconventional reservoir in Beaver Hill formation, Swan H.
Continued Phase II of Phase I. Simulation of 60 platform wells for implementation of new infill program 2017/2019. Estimated increase in P2 reserves of about 7.7 MMBbls. Adding new infills, workovers, well reactivations and well conversions.
Conducted a reservoir assessment for initiating a waterflood project in South Swan Hill (unconventional carbonate field, reef zone) that included: 3DSL Streamline simulation for 390 reef/platform wells, History Match (HM) and forecast. Geomodel used to improve well completions and well conversions. Increasing P1 reserves for about 1.5 MMBbls.
Supported and advised the setup for a CSS thermal project using CMG-STARS simulator. Pilot developed in Seal Main, Bluesky formation. Evaluation for further conversion to a CSI or SAGD process. Sensibility, optimization and risk analysis done using CMOST. Reserves P2/P3 for stage 1 booked for 35 MMBbls with RF of 19%.
