Vice President of Finance and Analytics 2010 – November 2016 Molina Healthcare of Utah

Molina Healthcare of Utah is a $600 million subsidiary of Molina Healthcare Inc. serving the Medicaid, Medicare, and Marketplace populations.

Led the development and analysis of the health plan’s overall financial performance and long term strategies including top line revenue through evaluation and negotiation of premium rates with the Department of Health and improving Medicare and Marketplace risk scores.

Managed medical costs through detailed review and analysis of medical cost drivers such as ER and inpatient utilization, readmission rates.

Drive unit costs down through identification of provider contracting opportunities and improved provider engagement by supporting the development and monitoring of value based contracting with strategic provider groups.

Established multi departmental project team which acquired, designed, and implemented organizational wide Business Intelligence tool using Cognos, (the Executive Information System) realizing a web based system, and electronically delivering financial results with increased efficiency / quicker.

Created standardized process integrating multi billion dollar acquisitions into the PeopleSoft general ledger, Payroll, sub-ledgers, reporting and planning systems, producing rapid integration of financial results of acquired companies which led to accelerating the elimination of redundant costs.
