Linked lung microbiome to environmental exposures in Malawi
Role of Principal investigator:
Established international partnership with a research institution overseas.
Design study and obtained IRB approval
Completed regulatory review for study to be completed in Malawi
Designed patient information sheet and consent form
Initiated and completed recruitment of 28 subjects
Trained Malawian personnel involved in data collection including field work, nurse, bronchoscopy staff, and lab technician.
