Job responsibilities for Rigger
Co-operation between driver and operator
Presence during loading / unloading
Awareness of potentially unsafe conditions
Proper use of standard PPE
Proper use of special PPE
Check of load securing and storage material
Checking of Material capacity

Operate and handle forklift and pallet jack equipment and other tools.
Handle loading and unloading operations in a warehouse.
Handle sensitive items and materials in a delicate manner.
Check and identify numbers and labels on assigned items and materials.
Maintain warehouse premises neat, clean and tidy.
Drive trucks and vans carrying items and materials.
Organize and rearrange items and materials neatly in respective places in a warehouse.
Maintain and manage inventory levels and controls.
Check and inspect the conditions of items and materials while loading and unloading.
Ensure compliance of safety procedures and practices.
Job Duties Rigger & Warehouse:
Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
Completes deliveries by driving truck or van to and from vendors.
Maintains truck or van by completing preventive maintenance requirements; arranging for repairs.
Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requests.
Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Completes reports by entering required information.
Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Checking if bottom valve, blind cap etc. are properly closed before loading &UN Loading
Awareness of risk of opening manholes
Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools.
Assist warehouse staff in shipping and receiving trucks.
Check in materials and match purchase orders with received items.
Determine items to be shipped or stored by reading and interpreting shipping orders.
Assist in unloading trucks and determining material or item disseminating tasks.
Move items from the receiving pallet to storage areas using forklifts or trolleys.
Ensure that items are appropriately placed on shelves and racks according to their types and sizes.
Make sure that appropriate information is supplied in the receiving log including lot and item identification numbers.
Refer to work orders and assist order pullers in pulling items from storage.
Match pulled items with work orders to ensure accuracy.
Ensure that pulled item is not damaged or broken.
Report any damaged items to the supervisor immediately.
Physically move orders from storage areas to packing areas.
Weigh and count items and place both weight and quantity information on boxes.
Handle packing activities such as putting items in boxes or crates and labeling them properly.
Move packaged items to the delivery pallet and load them onto delivery trucks.
Make sure that packaged items are properly and securely placed inside the delivery truck.
Create reports pertaining to moved materials and record amount of materials received and shipped.
Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the warehouse on a constant basis.
Attach loads to rigging machinery in order to move them from one place to another
Perform pulley and block attaching an activities
Ensure that pulleys and blocks are properly attached to beams, ceilings
and pole booms
Make sure that the right amount sized bolts and clamps are used for each attachment
Handle the movement of heavy equipment with the help of controls
Assemble and dismantle rigging equipment at the end of each shift
Perform fabrication and repairing of structures using defined rigging machinery
Manipulate rigging lines and hoists in order to control attached heavy equipment
Ensure that the selected cables, pulleys and winches are in accordance to the weight of the equipment that needs to be hoisted or moved
Communicate with construction staff using verbal communication or hand signals so as to ensure the safety and correct movement of heavy equipment or materials
Test and set-up rigging for safety and maneuverability before each movement
Ensure compliance to safe rigging practices at every step of the rigging process
Perform cleanliness and maintenance duties on rigging equipment and tools
Ensure that all rigging gear is stored in a proper manner and is ready for the next shift
