Identify and treat major neurological system diseases and disorders such as central nervous system infection, cranio spinal trauma, dementia, and stroke.
Test Patients & Diagnose Illnesses
Interview patients to obtain information such as complaints, symptoms, medical histories, and family histories.
Perform physical examination of patients to obtain information about functional status of areas such as vision, physical strength, coordination, reflexes, sensations, language skills, cognitive abilities, and mental status.
Diagnose illnesses, based on the results of laboratory analyses of patients' blood or cerebrospinal fluid, neuroimaging studies such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT), and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scans.
Order supportive care services such as physical therapy, specialized nursing care, and social services.
Evaluate and clarify clinical conditions, and formulate treatments and therapy for confined patients. Develop treatment plans based on diagnoses and on evaluation of factors such as age and general health, or procedural risks and costs.
Inform patients or families of neurological diagnoses, prognoses, or benefits, risks and costs of various treatment plans.
Perform Surgeries& Micro Surgeries:
Surgical excision of tumors of the brain and spine. Relieve chronic pain, and treat wounds, vascular disorders and diseases such as Parkinson's, epilepsy, aneurisms, degenerative spinal diseases and brain infections.
Perform surgery to relieve hydrocephalus, “Abnormal build-up of cerebrospinal fluid in the brain”.
Correction of deformities and treatment of diseases of the spinal cord such as degenerative spine disorder and scoliosis, correction of neurological problems through surgery. These can include back surgeries, Vascular / Endovascular, peripheral nerve, functional, and skull base.
Cerebrovascular Surgery, of damaged blood vessels in the brain, which can lead to strokes or other neurological problems, Aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, cavernomas and occlusive vascular diseases are the most common conditions treated.
Spinal Surgery to diagnose and treat spine-related conditions. include laminectomy, spinal fusion, foraminotomy, disectomy and disk replacement.
Epilepsy-Related Surgery.
Pediatric Neurosurgery, which include surgeries to correct head and spine deformities, congenital conditions and injuries of the brain, spine or nervous system, gait abnormalities and birth injuries.
Coordinate the efforts of large teams of surgeons and nurses in the operating theater.
