MOTIVATION

I am an ambitions BCom Marketing Graduate on my journey of learning and understanding the world and my place in it, I have great interest in marketing through all types of media. Attaining the knowledge of business, will further strengthen my path and give me great exposure to the marketing world.

The effect marketing campaigns have on people’s behaviour once exposed may be life altering, this is an important skill I would like to harness, as a field of study or as an occupation. It’s imperative in every industry and organisation; even political campaigns have a great need to utilize marketing strategies and ideas.

Through my years of studying at the University, I’ve learnt certain life and social skills. I can apply my understanding to the business world, in any environment: like knowing when to follow, being brave to lead, and how to be a team player. I’ve had the opportunity to get in the sales and marketing environment, and had a moment of clarity in to where my future lies, the rush of making a sale and satisfying a customer’s needs is unparallel. I have a dream of one day starting my own sales and marketing company, to fulfil my ambition and to also strive as an entrepreneur, coming from an entrepreneurial family. I think not only is it achievable but it’s also expected and I’m ready for any challenge.

My role models are: Elon Musk Owner and founder of Tesla Motors, SolarCity and SpaceX who ones said “When something is important enough, you do it even if the odds are not in your favour” and Jack Ma owner and founder of Alibaba Group a Chinese E-commerce company who’s quoted saying “Never give up. Today is hard, tomorrow will be worse, but the day after tomorrow will be sunshine”.
