During my tenure at the Blues, I was consistently promoted to positions of increasing responsibility based on my ability to exceed performance expectations.

Systems Analyst III, Technical Lead Jan 2014 - Mar 2016

As Technical Project Lead, directed cross functional teams comprised of members from Claims Processing Systems (NASCO and Local), HR or ERP, EDI, Web development, Provider Inquiry, Customer Inquiry, Business Information, Financial, various Reporting, and Backend Areas focused on implementing technical solutions for an extensive employee population (up to 10K) in multiple locations. Projects’ goals were to ensure organizational compliance with federal healthcare regulations posing substantial financial penalties for improper or late implementation. These included; Implementation of ACA regulations, BCBSM as Employer: IRS form 1095-C, Medical Loss Ratio (MLR), and Religious Accommodation

All projects were delivered on time or early. No fines were incurred.

In this position, I:

Led technical team activities, resolved issues, provided status updates, and made presentations to upper management.

Worked to ensure all members of the project team complied with ACA, HIPPA, and State regulatory requirements.

Directed and, at times, assisted with defining business requirements for multiple business units.

Consulted with Solution Architects to develop system architecture aligned with regulatory requirements.

Consulted with IT teams and created overall technical design document.

Directed multisystem IT teams (local and NASCO) to test, and implement technical solutions..

Interfaced with NASCO vendors to ensure system changes were aligned to business requirements.

Directed identification of UAT test cases, test environment setup, and resolved technical issues related to testing.

Conducted post-implementation review with business and IT areas to resolve any system defects.

System Analyst Sr., Test Lead Aug 2012 - Dec 2013

As Test Lead, directly interfaced with multiple business teams and IT teams (local and NASCO) to ensure technical solutions were accurately tested (pre and post implementation). Projects were required for compliance with federal and state healthcare mandates (ACA, Mandated Coverage for Autism, etc.). Each had the potential for substantial financial penalties for improper or late implementation. No fines were incurred.

Interfaced with multiple IT teams (local and NASCO) and business clients (Claims, Benefits, Finance, etc.) throughout the organization to define test requirement, develop test plans, and create test cases (including UAT cases).

Ensured test cases aligned with business/system requirements.

Managed all phases of testing and approval.

Worked directly with multiple IT teams to resolve system defects identified during testing before changes were moved to production.

Conducted post imp review/testing to ensure changes were functioning as expected for a large, geographically diverse employee population.

Managed HIPPA sensitive test data to ensure information was stored and maintained with the appropriate security.
