Professional Accomplishments
Developing a process control and continuous improvement system including data collection and recording, systems analysis, product improvement, research and development of new technology.
Design, installation and implementation of a plant wide control system. This includes monitoring and adjustment capability on a local area network for all machines, central services, facility and camera systems
Implementation of a computerized maintenance management system. All work controlled by work orders, all inventory controlled electronically, with record of detailed work notes, turnover information, materials used, labor time, downtime, failure codes, mean time between failures, response time, time based tracking of parts used and repeat failures, all preventative and predictive measures scheduled and automatically generated based on frequency or cycle counts. Using data collected to create reports and trends to identify opportunities and trouble spots in the maintenance business group. This data is then used by the team to drill down to root cause and address specific challenges, and monitor successful progress over time.
Controlling an unorganized, over budget and high overtime department. Organizing and designing the inventory structure, identifying and counting all parts, identifying critical parts not on hand, organizing and restructuring labor and skill sets, creating effective communication across three shifts, cross training and leveraging knowledge to other team members, OEM training, developing creative schedules and lowering overtime from 40% to 5%. Managing parts use, ordering and inventory to lower weekly operating budget by %25. Lowering downtime by 35% by training, more effective preventative maintenance, having parts on hand, and effectively using of three shifts of labor.
