Working alongside multiple trades to complete projects.

Completed work at the Soldiers Pond converter station, switch yard and synchronous condenser facility.

Completed work at the Long Harbour nickel processing plant.

Memorial University of Newfoundland May – September 2012

Reservoir Research Engineer

Ran numerous reservoir simulations studying the effects of using enhanced oil recovery methods on a sloped structure in the field. These experiments were later put into a research paper.

Researched mechanical equipment used in the offshore oil and gas industry to enhance oil production.

Ordered mechanical equipment for the Memorial University of Newfoundland Hibernia EOR laboratory.

North Atlantic Refinery, Mechanical Reliability Group September – December 2011

Mechanical Engineer

Researched centrifugal pumps used in the refinery’s firewater system.

Tabulated flow data and created performance curves for the refinery’s pumps, that were then used to enhance the pumps overall performance.

Lead engineer on various work projects including piping and structural jobs, inventory of parts, and ordering of essential plant equipment. Completed while using CSA, ASME and API codes and standards.

Worked with valve technicians to inspect control valves in the butane storage facility. Then completed a detailed report on the performance of valves and made recommendations.

Lead engineer on crane certification.

Attended presentations on sensor abilities for compressors and valve selection.

Irving Oil Refinery, Maintenance and Reliability Group January – April 2011

Mechanical Engineer

Conducted review and analysis of standard operating plant procedures for various piping, structural and equipment repairs, which resulted in improved plant procedures.

Lead engineer on preparing work packages for various jobs. This included being the main contact for contractors and vendors.
