Professional Experience
2012-Present: Test Engineer Developer, Verizon/Networkfleet Company in San Diego CA USA
Developed a new Parallel Testing platform in Labview from scratch which cut in half the test time.
Developed test cases in Python using Unittest for faster response and open source software to avoid costs.
Develop test cases using selenium to integrate hardware and web services so automation was possible.
Handle Embedded Linux systems and PC systems to save costs in hardware licenses.
Developed tests using GPS, OBDII protocols, Cellular signals, Accelerometer, Bluetooth and Wifi to test a more complete scenario like the device is being used in the field to avoid Quality problems.
2005-2012: Associate Staff Product engineer, Scientific Atlanta/Cisco/Foxconn Juarez Mexico
Coordinate the group of product engineers and technicians in charge of introducing and sustaining highly complex production products.
Fix any design issues the product may have, fix Bill of material issues as well as train the engineers so they can resolve any problem during the introduction and production of the product.
Coordinate any test equipment issues, like capability tests (below 1.33 cpk) and/or R&R studies not passing.
2003–2005: Product Engineer, Scientific Atlanta.
Responsible for the introduction and maintenance of QPSK modulators, QPSK demodulators, optical products and satellite receivers and transmitters. (I was trained in Atlanta Georgia, Phoenix Arizona and Toronto Canada.)
Coordinate changes in BOM's, Evaluate Product design changes being introduced to production, Provide technical support analysis and corrective actions on product related problems, technical training for engineers and technicians, provide substitutions for short materials and cooperate with suppliers to solve chronic problems.( Experience handling Agile System)
2000–2003: Test Engineer, Scientific Atlanta.
Development and Maintenance of testing platform, taking corrective actions and giving preventive maintenance to all automated test equipment at board level and final level to detect design or manufacturing problems. I mainly used Visual Basic and Labview in doing so.
1998–2000: Process Engineer, PEDSA.
Develop and maintain all the processes and documentation for the production lines.
