Responsibilities Included;

Responsible for carrying out periodical quality control inspection during various stages of manufacturing work activities as per CQP on daily basis.

Examine of raw materials compare with manufacture’s test certificates, and documentation.

Supervision and examine in all manufacturing activities and tests until final stage like pre fabrication, fittings, welds, NDT, assemblies and painting works.

Prepare/review of welding documents like WPS, PQR, & WPQ as per the codes and standards, the same to obtain clients for approval.

Endorse the welders by welder qualification test for sound welds and prepare and maintain the welder’s performance track records.

Monitor and control of welding operations and weld parameters as per approved WPS includes; weld preparation, method, consumable, position, parameters, etc.,

Evaluation of NDT method at various stages.

Raising Non-Compliance reports for malfunctions of work activities in terms of quality & expectations and taken place appropriate corrective action.

Responsibilities Included;

Responsible for carrying out Receiving Inspection, In-process Inspection and Final Inspection.

Monitor and examine day to day work activities as per the QC Plan to meet the requirements and expectations.

To examine of raw materials (plates, pipes, fittings, forgings, fasteners, consumables, & painting), and compare with the manufacturer’s test certificates, in respect of cast no. inspection stamp, & marks, etc.,

Supervision and inspection of job welding quality as per stage wise preliminary, in process, and final stage.

Raising non-conformance reports for the purpose of controlling the shop works related to non-conformances and closed properly.

Co-ordination with TPIA for inspection activities and monitoring the TPIA performance.

Conversant International codes and standards including ASME Sec II, V, VIII, & IX, AWS D1.1, API, EN, etc.,

Monitor work performed by contractor/subcontractor to ensure it meets the requirements

Prepare and review the approved documents (material test certificates, welder documents like WPSs, PQRs, NDT test reports, final stage reports, compliance & non-compliance reports, stage wise dimensional reports, painting reports, calibration reports, etc.,) in compliance of QC dossier the same submitted to the client’s for approval.

Coordinate with project team the document controls of technical submittals, drawings, amendments, etc. and ensure that the QA/QC validation has been done.

Review the contract and project specifications for quality related requirements

Confirm that on weekly basis all the calibrated instruments are conversant and review all external calibration certificates.

1.For NTPC Rihand Power Plant, FL Smidth, Chennai, India; Manufacturing of coal handling equipment-feeders, bucket wheel stacker reclaimer & accessories and conveyors.

2.For Zuari Holdings Ltd, FL Smidth, Chennai, India: Manufacturing of kiln shell, Conveyors and accessories.

3.For Indonesia Power Project, BHEL, Trichy, India; Manufacturing of pressure vessels with accessories.
