Project 1: Terumo Cardiovascular Systems Obsolescence Project, Michigan, USA May 2015 – October 2017
The scope of the project was remediating the parts which are related to HLM product (Advanced Perfusion System 1, APS1) with its associated documents as per Terumo QMS (Quality Management System). Terumo QMS is derived from FDA standard. I worked in a multi-disciplinary team involved in resolving the gaps identified between the client and the supplier documents by updating/creating the drawings, Design specification, Part Inspection Plans and Routing documents in Product Data Management (PDM) system. It involved comprehensive understanding of quality system requirements as stated within 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485. As a requirement to work in a Medical Device project; I have cleared ISO 13485 and ISO 14971 certification trainings.
Responsibilities:
Design Planning
oAnalyze Supplier Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s)
oPropose the plan by filing Engineering Change Request (ECR)
oDesign Change Plan creation
oTechnical Review of proposed changes
Technical input, output and risk review agenda preparation
Assessing the hazardous substances by evaluating the components for
oREACH (registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction of chemicals) directive
oRoHS (Restriction of Hazardous substances) compliant and CE Marking
Verification and Validation activities including
oEngineering Analysis for life cycle engineering of obsolete components for assurance of the functional integrity
oEngineering Analysis to analyze Reliability requirement of components used in APS1 system
oTest cases for Broker Buy components
oTest reports for reliability and functional testing of components
oDesign Verification for Protocols
oCreation of Usability assessment memo/engineering report
Lead Risk Management/Risk Review activities to evaluate the risk on the HLM product
Work on Design specs and word markups/redlines for closure of NCR.
Prepare checklists for timely and defect free delivery
Project 2: CRBU-Pb free conversion and Library SEZ Development (CISCO), California, USA January 2011 – July 2012
The scope of the project was to convert schematics of leaded boards to lead free and to create lead-free logic symbols for the same. I was working onsite with a team of 5 engineers and 2 technical specialists.
Responsibilities:
Managing lead free logic symbol creation requests
Conversion of leaded schematics to lead free.
Reviewing of datasheets
Coordination with the library team
Footprint Validation
Creating logical lead free symbols
Tools used:
DxDesigner (EPD 2005)
Allegro (version 15.7/ 16.3)
Project 3: Avaya (Nortel) Sustenance, Ottawa, Ontario May 2010 – December 2010
The scope of the project was maintenance and sustenance of existing telecommunication Printed Circuit Boards (PCB). I was working offsite in India with a multi-disciplined team of 9 engineers where my role typically was to select alternate lead free parts for the PCB’s of telecommunication boards and RS 232 cable and validate them.
Responsibilities:
Developing and executing functional test plan(s) involving various interfaces
Pre-layout Signal Integrity (SI) Analysis
Alternate component(s) Selection
Assist in Bill Of Material (BOM) preparation
Interaction with customers/clients on a weekly basis
Interaction with component procurement team
