Director of Operations 2013 - 2017

Complete P&L ownership of a multi-location coffee roasting, packaging and warehousing business through effective departmental management of shipping, receiving, warehouse, production planning, maintenance, E-commerce, roasting plant and four unique packaging environments

Lead manufacturing, facilities, maintenance, staffing and software improvements/upgrades through Project Management

oDesign and installation oversight of an upgraded Nitrogen Bulk Application, backup generator and compressor systems to improve energy efficiencies and expand manufacturing capabilities

oDesigned and acted as General Contractor on three separate construction projects which expanded production environments by 32,000 square feet, one of which contained a negative pressure environment to accommodate production of sugar based products

oPurchased and implemented Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) that was directly responsible for an annual savings of $115,000 through downtime reduction, inventory management and overtime elimination

Operations Manager 2013

Led the creation of a new operating group to accommodate state of the art automation through defining responsibilities, developing standardized operating procedures, setting goals, encouraging autonomy, and motivating performance throughout the warehouse, four production environments across two facilities

oCoordinated the transition to a more durable, cross-compatible and cost effective air valve resulting in an annual savings of $109,000 in addition to standardizing the valve supply across 11 unique machine applications

oRedesigned conveyor flow on four machine centers to allow for a three minute packaging queue to address the average amount of downtime required to clear the top six most common faults that stopped production. This resulted in a downtime reduction of 17%
