PDVSA-Integrated Studies Management, Maturin, Monagas State, Venezuela - Mapping Natural Fracture Clusters by constraining Seismic Attribute with well control, San Juan Formation, Orocual Field.

Generated attributes sensitive to fractures (e.g. Variance, Dip Deviation, Ant Tracking, etc.).

Estimated the orientation of open fractures from image logs.

Constrained the ant-tracker to follow only those lineaments that fall within orientation estimated from well data.

Generated a detailed sub-seismic fault interpretation guide by Ant Tracking attribute.

Significant Contributions:

Updated the Orocual structural framework to determine potential and risk of drillings locations.

Established a seismic attributes workflow for fractures characterization.

Provided geophysical support for building integrated geological model to improve visualization and optimize future drillings.
