Experience

Site Engineer Foyer Construction Private Limited. Bengaluru, INDIA 2013 - 2015

My responsibilities included inspection and quality control of interior improvements for residential structures.

Planned and managed the construction of driveways and parking lots.

Designed and managed the laying of storm and sewer lines connected to the sewage plant.

Managed the construction of sewage treatment plant and a recreational house.

Research

A mechanistic evaluation of highway pavement damage due to overweight trucks:

Objective of the research was to evaluate effects of overweight trucks when passes on thin and thick flexible pavements

WESLEA software was used to calculate strains at the bottom of HMA layer and subbase layer.

Horizontal strain values were evaluated in both HMA and subgrade layers which were then used to calculate rutting and fatigue.

The rutting and fatigue value were compared for overload trucks when with those for 18-kip load.

Academic Projects

Design of a roadway using Bentley Micro Station and GEOPAK:

Designed a roadway per the limits and right of way.

Based on the design speed we calculated minimum horizontal and vertical length.

Using template tool, we have designed base and subbase of the roadway.

Using calculated elevations, we have assigned it to the roadway and from that we have obtained earthwork.

Design of a traffic flow network on M-52 bypass Chelsea, Michigan:

To provide efficient signal system for the roadway according to the warrants

Provide number of lanes depending on the traffic estimated from the old highway.

Designed signal timing and phasing for all the intersection along the new bypass highway.

Pavement study in sunflower village homes association

Divided the entire pavements into 10-sections and analyzed the sections 5&6

Calculated number of samples need to be inspected and randomly picked the sample and noted down the distresses in those samples.

From those distresses, we have calculated the PCI for sample and for the entire sections 5&6

Based on the type of distresses we had provided best possible treatments for distress.

To design a sewage treatment plant for 98%efficiency as part of environmental class project:

The wastewater that was treated are municipal wastewater.

Followed 10 states standards for designing the plant.

All the hydraulic gradients and dimensions are within the conditions mentioned in the standards.
