Oversee all aspects of the operation including production, maintenance, quality, engineering, tooling, and logistics with 9 direct reports and 120 indirect reports. Accomplishments include

Doubled EBITDA Commitment for FY2017 through cost controls and continuous improvement activities.

Focused on culture change to improve safety performance resulting in a reduction in RIR from 3.97 in fiscal 2015 to a RIR of 1.8 in fiscal 2016 (fiscal year Oct –Sep), representing the best performance in the plants history. Fiscal 2017 RIR of 1.59

Production Manager

Berry Jackson, TN manufactures prescription packaging and injection blow molded bottles for the pharmaceutical and chemical industry. Responsibilities included direct supervision of 9 supervisors and 2 process engineers. Oversee the operation of the injection molding department with 47 injection presses, the injection blow mold department with 10 IBM machines, the stretch blow department with 3 stretch blow machines, and the printing department with 9 decoration centers. Accomplishments include:

Successfully improved overall plant EFF and MEEF performance in the molding departments in 2011, reaching a goal of 105% EFF and exceeding a goal of 85% MEEF, hitting an 86% MEEF.

Oversaw printing department performance improvements allowing the department to move from a 7 (4 shifts) to a 5 (3 shifts) day work week while increasing output and efficiencies.

Improved conversion costs year over year in 2011 by aligning cost and labor with orders and production requirements.

Quality Manager 2006-2009

Responsibilities included direct supervision of 18 quality technicians and 1 quality engineer across two QA labs. Also responsible for maintaining GMP’s and AIB certification, all regulatory and quality records, certificate of analysis, and gauge calibration. In addition, responsible for all CIO (complaint) investigations and resolutions as well as overseeing all CQV’s for new and redesigned products. Also responsible for representing the organization in all third party system and procedure audits. Accomplishments include:

Led the adoption of the QSI document control system once it was implemented by the corporate team.

Responsibilities included overseeing all import and export activities for both raw materials and customer order completion as well as all quality complaints and concerns. Also responsible for setting lead days based on production capacities and raw material availability while staying within or beyond budgeted sales forecast. Accomplishments Included:

Created system for organizing NPD project samples by customer interest / required testing, and expected order date.

Increased communication by streamlining raw material and order entry system utilizing electronic means.

Quality Assurance Manager 2000-2003

Responsibilities included all customer complaint resolutions, administration of all quality functions including the ISO 9000 Quality Management System and the ISO14001 Environmental Management System. Also responsible for quality related communications between Rieke Auburn and foreign divisions. Heavily focused on technical customer service for both quality complaints and product applications. Supervise 8 employees. Accomplishments include:

Implemented several database programs to track external internal and external CAR’s and SCAR’s.

Created and implemented procedure for sales to communicate customer related concerns and complaints.

Led the successful conversion of the ISO9000 QMS from the 1994 standard to the 2000 standard.
