Implemented Wireless Gaging of weld nugget sizes reducing weld check cycle time by 50% and enabling statistical analysis of weld data

This led to greatly increased ability to predict weld tip changes far more accurately, improving the capability of weld nugget size

This allowed reduction in frequency of destructive sampling without loss of confidence level reducing destructive sample scrap from #1 scrap cost to #5 scrap cost which was a 1 million dollar savings for plant

Implemented Attribute Gage R&R’s for visual inspection of Class A surfaces reducing scrap by 25%

Achieved $350,000 cost savings over two years with only 5 month capital payback from what was initially just a $35,000 Six Sigma training project.

Achieved 50% scrap reduction in plastic injection-molded handles through design/implementation of new “working” gage.

Added $3M profit to glass bottle plant as facilitator/leader of hourly process-improvement team.

Eliminated customer concerns on new program prototypes by creating detailed, extensive APQP system at the pre-prototype stage.

Enabled 25% cycle time & defect reduction at customer by improving measurement precision on critical characteristic by 10X using DOE on laboratory equipment.

Transitioned plant quality system from QS-9000 to TS-16949 in 3 months, 50% sooner than target.

Created entire Quality Management System (ISO-9001) for $25M semiconductor industry supplier.

Implemented closed-loop system for verifying training, quality alert notification corrective action.

Created real-time SPC system to use in morning production meetings for trend analysis.
