In the capacity of Logistics Management Specialist for the Sustainment Automation Management Officer (SASMO), Directorate of Logistics, Texas Army National Guard, I supported help desk functions, through processing of repair tickets. I contacted customers, telephonically, via e-mail or remotely accessed systems based on complexity of needed repairs, troubleshoot, and diagnosed problems with the STAMIS system; researched, analyzed, and implemented corrective action, displayed an in-depth expert knowledge of the Comprehensive Software Systems (CSS) and or referred issue to Directorate of Information Management, based on determination, and level of required repairs. I independently performed various training for weekly, monthly, and by request for individuals and groups, specific to system implementation, and updates. I developed and maintained all training material (i.e. manuals, slides, training videos, and brochures). I conducted Webinars, interactive, formal and informal training. I designed and improved training programs to meet training needs. I developed and adhered to processes and procedures for all training requirements and strategies. I collaborated, consulted, and coordinate all training requirements for units assigned to the Texas Army National Guard. I documented and logged all processes and procedures online that are associated with daily operations and development of training applications. I performed efficiently and effectively as a team member to train customers, complete system repairs, and remain up to date, and abreast of system changes and updates. I remained current on new developments, enhancements, and bug fixes in order to provide excellent customer service and satisfaction. I familiarized myself with solutions and proposed documented solutions in the help desk tracking system. I applied specialized knowledge of various logistical support activities and functions and integrated separate functions into the planning, coordination, implementation of a sound integrated logistics Management (LIS) program. I provided Field Maintenance Shops, Combined Support Maintenance Shops, and Maneuver Enhancement Training and Equipment Sites logistical advisory, support, and collaboration relating to document control, item accountability, financial property accounting, and transaction analysis. I assisted with the development, coordination, and implementation of logistics program management policies, procedures, and guidelines. I directed the resolution of logistical problems reported by customers as well as those reported by major subordinate commands and other activities. I adjusted plans to accommodate situations and problems, or any other unforeseen developments, and provided economical solutions for the provision of logistical support to the customer. I identified program planning and execution problem areas. Based on finding, developed and implemented corrective action plans to adjust operations and facilitate the provision of logistical support to customers. I performed trade off analyses and recommended appropriate changes based on analyses to higher headquarters. I established and maintained programs for the units, managed information reporting system to provide sufficient information to brief command officials and customers on the current status of systems/equipment in the various programs. I conducted logistics support analysis, supplied planning, and workload analysis. Formulated and implemented all phases of the Directorate's functions for customers. The results of my work impacted services, affected the operational readiness, response to disaster capabilities of the organization. I monitored and controlled issue and return of repairable assemblies and components, negotiated receipts, scheduled induction, and monitored completion for the repair and return program. I participated and provided input to workload conferences at the Directorate and subordinate levels of the command. I participated in workload forecasting/planning process by estimating repair cycle times and negotiating customer turnaround times.
I collected analyzed, interpreted and developed specialized information about assigned equipment and provided information, together with advisory and consultative services to management, key leaders, and decision makers. I expertly operated microcomputer, which is satellite to mainframe computers containing the Standard Depot System (SDS) and E-mail software. I independently performed power up/down procedures including the loading of the operating system; Installed and operated a variety of software and peripheral equipment; Utilized appropriate guidelines and operator manuals to resolve problems with equipment and software. I often represented the organization and leadership at meetings and seminars within the command, at other organizations, and at higher headquarters on matters pertaining to all plans and programs. I participated in the management of the Maintenance Support Agreement; provided reviews, studies, briefings, and tasking in support of the customer. I made site visits, performed organization inspections in support of subordinate units as required. I utilized maintenance knowledge, initiative, tact, and independent judgment to provided advisory, and consultation on critical maintenance matters; made decisions, and recommendations which commit the Directorate to a definitive course of action with prior approval of the Director. I applied in-depth, concise knowledge of logistical support activities. I served as an advisor and consultant to the command and to senior and Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist on all STAMIS systems. I was responsible for planning, coordinating, and evaluating logistical actions required to support the Logistics Directorate, Texas Army National Guard.
