Senior Document Controller

Primary business of Unisem (M) Bhd is to provide assembly and test services in Malaysia which includes intergrated suite of packaging and test services such as wafer bumping,probing and grinding as well as range of leadframe, wafer level chipscale packaging,radio frequency,analog,digital and mixed signal test services. Its services include design, assembly test, failure analysis and electrical and thermal characterization.

Plan, organizes and implements systems for efficient document processing of all communications, supplier document, design documents or other internal and external documents.

Lead the Document Control Group providing effective direction and motivation. Assists junior document control staffs to ensure effective implementation of project specific procedures.

Responsible for receives, tracks, and monitors documents using standard document management programs to register documents, maintain databases and produces logs, transmittal and other reports as required. Enters data and produces reports using department specific computer applications. Initiates and replies to routine correspondence related to area of responsibility.

Coordinates the flow of documents between project operation and task, engineering disciplines and engineer team or other department group.

Implements document and data management solutions with a primary focus on document control and records management. Administers data and document management application.

Promote, set up and implement a document management system, making it appropriate to the needs of the projects through the project life cycle.

Keep abreast of department technologies, techniques and services relevant to area of responsibility. Works with other staffs members as needed to develop and improve services. Responds to changing technology environment and participates in decision making activities relating to customer’s needs.

Revise system or schedule as required to ensure timely approvals and distribution. Expedites review, signature approval and release of supplier and internally produced documents. Establish priorities and schedules based on work orders and project specifications.

Attend meeting with Customers, Engineers and Top Management regarding production delays, costs, project completion estimates, project specification and other issues.

Designed a new method to differentiate normal build versus copper wire build

Monitor the system control between customer web and keyfile database for every new build.

Successfully coordinated and implemented the Lean Manufacturing Project to reduce cycle time by creating a visual display on daily output tracking and stream down double approval buildsheet to single approval buildsheet.
