Project #1 Service Order Administration (SOA), A Clearing House Application 20 APR’14 to present
Environment : Java, J2EE, XML, XSLT, CORBA, SOAP, JMS, Oracle 11g, Tomcat, Solaris, Ant and XML, Linux
Description : Service Order Administration (SOA) interfaces with the Number Portability Administration Center to allow service providers to complete number porting requests, whether they are wireless, wire-line, or wire-line-to-wireless (intermodal) requests. This project solved the problem of B2B integration between client OSS and Telecom Service providers for Number portability request. This system was used to speak to other applications for telecom order processing using SOAP, smart socket, JMS and DB calls. The challenge was to build a gateway that acted as an interface between the clients OSS and telecom service provider’s communication channel. The gateway converted the client XML request to process gateways request format using XSLT transformation and custom JAVA classes and then sends to Number Portability Administration Center system for number portability order completion.
