Senior Production Engineer Consultant at Knowledge-Reservoir consulting company assigned for an Intelligent Digital Field project (KwIDF-GC01) in Burgan field Kuwait. My mains tasks were:
o Production monitoring using Real time System i-Do (Intelligent Daily Operation), identify underperforming wells for immediate and short term actions such as acid job, choke setting optimization, squeeze wet perforations, additional perforations.
oMaintain the Integrated model (surface network and wells model), update and run the optimization scenarios.
oConduct a study of commingled wells effect on wells performance and evaluate the case if the wells produce in separate lines.
oMentor and develop junior engineer’s knowledge in petroleum engineering aspects.
January 2007 – August 2013 Senior Petroleum Engineer Sonatrach, Algeria
Assigned to the FMIS project for Hassi Messaoud field ( 300,000 bopd, 800 active wells) conducted in collaboration between Sonatrach and Halliburton Consulting Algeria. Field Management and Information System (FMIS) is an Integrated Production Optimization Project from the reservoir to the surface facilities.
FMIS Project;
1.Integrated Production Optimization Model
oReview, analysis and QC of existing wells and surface network data using different sources; Data Bank, DSS, OFM, Control Room records, P&ID diagrams.
oBuild well models, analyze the well performances, and make recommendations on well potential: increasing well production, optimizing gas lift, identifying gas lift and stimulation candidates.
oBuild surface network model, import the well models, and run the integrated model ensuring validation of base model.
oPlan data measurement field operations required for integrated model tuning and calibration; well tests and pressure gauge installations throughout surface network
oField supervising of the measurement operations.
oTune the integrated model, analyze and identify the production optimization opportunities by making optimization scenarios (What if?), and identify system bottlenecks.
I used the integrated model for existing surface facilities evaluation (FWKO, FTS) and also new project assessment mainly additional separators installation.
Focal point and coordinator role as client representative, report and present project progress and results to the management.
2.Production monitoring
oDaily Production monitoring and production fluctuation analysis.
oWell services activities planning (clean out, acid job, water wash, well test, gas lift optimization) to sustain optimum wells production.
oPlan and elaborate operation programs, Work-Over, Snubbing operation, Acid, Well Testing and Slickline.
oChemicals Injection monitoring
I initiated and coordinated a monitoring campaign in part of the field (70 wells) and recovered about 9400 bopd, with intensive actions (Acid jobs, water wash, Kick-off) within 02 weeks and the production was sustained at its optimum range of 40000 to 43000 bopd with an appropriate plan for operations frequency.
Participate in In-house data monitoring application project, for efficient production monitoring and well parameters survey.
Conducted a study of the Underbalanced Coiled Tubing Drilling performance in Hassi Messaoud field.
Supervision of Coiled Tubing Drilling Operations.
