Daily/Ongoing Activities & Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

In conjunction with the team and practice owners prepare annual budget.

Reviewing budget performance reports monthly, including all line items specific to supplies, staffing and operations management.

Facilitating conceptual and consultative sessions and case presentations with new/existing patients to offer financial options.

Verification of insurance and patient eligibility, filing claims, reviewing new plans, and negotiating contracts.

Completing administration tasks processing daily and monthly revenue/bank deposits, paying bills and processing staff payroll.

Directing team members with billing processes (i.e. insurance, Medicaid, etc.) and preparing and mailing billing statements

Collect and receive payments from patients at time of treatment and inform patients of financial treatment plan options

Personnel & Work Load Management:

Managing the daily activities of front and back office, including looking for and adjusting administrative style for operational improvements.

Preparing and actively participating in weekly/monthly medical staff meetings.

Coordinating training of staff and providers on coding and billing issues.

Processing time sheets, managing employee benefits, training

Reviewing month-end Aging and Production Report, analysis of new patients and doctor referrals

Respond to doctors’, patients’ and staff’s grievances.

Processing specialists referrals, and maintaining follow-up and after care calls.

Safeguarding patient privacy and confidentiality, as well as acting as the patient advocate and handling incoming concerns to ensure maximum patient satisfaction at all times.

Arranging supporting documents and preparing forms for dental insurance claims.

Marketing

Managing for new clientele and referrals, ultimately resulting in increased sales.

Participating in development of long-range strategic plans, practice structure, goals and objectives for practice management.

Certification: CPR Certified for Healthcare Providers (Current)

Technical & Computer Skills: Greater than 11 years of producing regular practice reports and data via Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.) as well as Dentrix, Easy Dental and Mogo

Travel: Willingness to travel as needed locally/regionally, and/or occasionally nationwide to attend trainings, and participate in meetings.
