Summary of Experience:

2010-2012 Flamingo Isle Municipal Utility District

• President of the District’s Board of Directors. The District has responsibility for maintenance of 11 miles of bulkhead in the Harborwalk subdivision plus canals leading to the Intracoastal water way and Galveston Bay.

• Lead the board’s efforts to define projects, determine budgets and set tax rates to fund the maintenance and bond payments. Coordinate with financial, legal, tax and engineering advisors for effective operation of the District.

2008-2010 New Home Construction project

• Designed and built our home on the Texas coast. Coordinated the efforts of the architect, engineer and contractors to complete the construction. This effort required knowledge of, and compliance with, FEMA flood and coastal construction guidelines as well as the Texas Windstorm requirements.

2005-2008 Independent Business, boat and yacht sales

• Established the Houston presence for an internet-based yacht brokerage business. I successfully grew the business in the local market but overall business conditions caused the company to redefine its focus.

1998-2005 Chevron Oronite Company, LLP

• Led Oronite business unit purchased from Exxon Chemical Company. Developed business plans, product development projects and customer strategies for a petroleum additive product line with revenues exceeding $100 million annually.
