Develop new customized Environmental Control Unit (ECU) structural/sheetmetal designs within the time constraints
Structural stress analysis using SolidWorks Simulation, communicate results with military customers.
Developing, reviewing, revising, and documenting ECU drawings, assemblies, BOM’s as well as creation of work instructions and Sales Drawings
Provide leadership for project/program management, assist in creation of schedules and budgets
Partner with the Test Lab and Quality personnel to verify operation and performance during testing of new products
Interface effectively with Purchasing, QA, and the shop on new product development
Senior Mechanical Engineer 2010 - 2011

Responsibilities included the following:
Design, Develop and detail food & beverage material handling automated equipment (systems)
Calculate rates, stresses, power requirements and pneumatic components
Interface with Controls, Sales and Production Shop departments to complete equipment design and production
Work with the shop to solve issues during build and insure equipment is being built to specification
Assist Engineering Manager with duties including cost tracking, standardization, documentation and delivery schedules

Responsible for both New Product Development and the Sustaining Engineering activities
Some Specific Project Work has included the following:
Fully responsible for the product known as Rebar Benders - This work covered the full spectrum from manual table benders to automatic machines.

Responsible for design, shop support, as well as resolution of quality issues. Initiated several Cost Savings. Though not implemented, on the #14 Mechanical Bender proposed the use of another drive from the Magnabend MB 211 to increasing margins to 30-35% and eliminating problems with couplers
Special Run Out Conveyor - Fully responsible for engineering, design, and detailing
Lift Conveyor Redesign - This program from KRB Denmark division was in jeopardy and needed to be salvaged - redesigned the lower frame, lifting cylinders and lifting links, coordinated changes with Manufacturing for timely fabrication. This work allowed KRB to showcase the Lift Conveyor at the World of Concrete Trade Show and then deliver to customer
Servo Form - Designed the drive assembly and solved field problems by redesigning the Translator Cylinder area
Auto Shake-out - An associate’s resignation required that I assume responsibility for this machine, and handle design order for another customer to create a 50’ version utilizing newly developed sub-assemblies
Design reviews w/ KRB Denmark division - Involved in coordination meetings during the design phase of equipment under development there
Quality Problem Resolution - Supported the company’s Monthly Quality Meetings by taking on action items stemming from field service issues
Supported Quality - Created and implemented on the Durabend and Magnabend machines an Assembly checklist
Supported company Kaizen efforts - working directly with shop personnel on part changes for cost reduction
Supported the Middle East sales by visits, handling phone calls and emails
