Off-Lattice Random Walks (Fall 2016-Spring 2017)

Polya’s theorem for walks not restricted to a lattice with an isotropic step length was generalized mathematically and verified through simulations. This research took place at Millersville University over a full year with a faculty advisor. Six presentations were given, 3 per semester, updating the research to other physics faculty. A poster and a 28 page paper were written explaining the problem and the mathematical results.
