Talent Acquisition Leader - A.I, Cloud, Watson Health, IoT, Research, Security

IBM, Singapore

Since 2015, IBM has been undertaking an aggressive transformation of every part of it's business. 'Strategic imperatives' represent the new products and services that have made IBM more competitive in the tech industry of "today". This has centered around our Cognitive computing ability (Watson), our Cloud platform and industry specialisms. I manage all the "S.I" BU's from a hiring standpoint. We are also transforming our TA function to align with the wider IBM transformation and as a Leader in TA I have been responsible for helping to implement our TA digital framework.

Executive hiring:

I run all the Exec hiring for my B.Us in IBM across APAC. My role in this depends on the agreed hiring strategy. 80% of the time we deliver on Exec hires ourselves and I manage the more 'critical hires' personally; pro-active market mapping / pipe-lining, strategic advice on; where the talent “sits”, compensation, the right messaging / pitch to gain interest; interview process

(who, at what stage), target areas of questioning; blind-spots on IBM, our management, products and services, REV and R&D spend. I will be part of the formal interview process, usually at first interview, and delivering the offer package and benefits. Sometimes, it is agreed that the role is too sensitive and I will manage the role with our Exec Search Partners, managing their supply / workload, feedback, advice, managing the Exec Comp discussions and delivery, final interviews, high-level “facilitation” and consulting.
