Summery
Ms. Kim has been writing for 12 years weekly column on environmental issues for the Korea Energy News, and serves as the Washington DC reporter for the Korea Energy News. As a member of the National Press Club in Washington, DC United States of America she has access to energy experts throughout the United States and the world. She also has been contributing The Korea Times, the greater Washington area. Her frequent business travel to Korea in order to make presentations regularly at the various low-carbon energy conferences and her writing in Korean for her column readers has kept her up to date with the rapidly changing Korean energy market, which has accelerated with the industrial growth of Korea as a leader in Asia. This puts her in the best possible position to deal with global energy issues and how they affect Korea and the world.
She has a B.S. in Chemistry and an M.A. in Educational Psychology and owns her own company, Synapse International, L.L.C., providing green energy products and services including designing and installing ground-source heat pump products, solar panels, rooftop wind turbines and LED lighting. Current projects include a recovery and redistribution of waste refrigerants, World green city conference for REECON(International New and Renewable Energy Expo & Conference) Korea. distribution of software for calculating parameters necessary for installation of ground-source heat pumps.
Ms. Kim spent three years as the Asian Bureau Director of the Oklahoma State University School of International Studies during which time she developed contacts in the United States through the International Ground-Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA) resulting in the establishment of a local chapter of IGSHPA in Korea. She regularly arranges for experts from the United States and around the world to hold workshops in Korea on alternative energy. She is a certified ground-source heat pump installer. Ms. Kim has been an invited speaker at many energy and environment conference including Green Energy Expo in Degu, Korea. She taught Environmental Science as an adjunct professor at DeVry University in Oklahoma City.
Ms. Kim has been worked as a language educator. Ms. Kim has been teaching Korean language culture to individuals with military, diplomat, and civilian background through agencies like ICA and DLS. She and worked for the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA, for the California State University in Sacramento, CA, for the Sangmyung University in Seoul Korea and the Korea Foreign Language Institute in Seoul Korea.
