Job Description in Details: -

Senior Drilling and Work over Engineer: -

Responsible for designing and preparing the drilling & Workover prognosis including the following:

Responsible for strict adherence to all Company systems, procedures, standards, safety rules and regulations by all Company personnel and contractors on-site.

Ensures operations comply with the Standard Drilling Instructions (SDI) and Drilling Safety Instructions (DSI) Manuals and SIMOPS procedures.

Ensure all documentation for drilling approval is prepared and submitted and the drilling approval is obtained.

Select the proper direction plan for the different wells paths.

Collect the offset data and summarize it to predict the required mud weights for each section and to define the casing points.

Review offset well operations to ensure that lessons learned are implemented for the current development.

Select the BHA’s and bits based on the well plan and the performance in the offset wells and based on the database made before.

Run the hydraulic program to design the hydraulics for each hole.

Prepare drilling & well programs, utilizing engineering programs for drilling planning, prepare detailed operation procedures, follow-up of the operations, perform post-well analysis, and ensure experience transfer within the project

Plan and manage the efficient and timely provision of support services and supplies to rig operations and to plan and provide logistical support.

Primary contact with rig, night co. man, drilling engineer and third-party personnel at the rig site to ensure operations are performed in accordance with the drilling program in a safe and cost-effective manner.

Responsible for daily engineer follow-up of ongoing operations. Monitor drilling engineering parameters to support drilling operation.

Ensure that the well operations are carried out in a safe manner and that well objectives are achieved on time within budget, and without any adverse effect on the environment.

Identify all potential problems with the completion engineer. Communicate with other DE's to share learning's and ideas.

Daily submit the midday engineering recommendation report to cover the following 24 hours.

Ensure that the lessons learned are documented and implemented in succeeding wells.

Ensure sufficient stock quantity is available and maintain an accurate inventory of all equipment.

Ensure that all equipment delivered to the rig site is in good condition with all necessary spare parts and tools as required.

Oversee logistics (equipment, manpower, materials) & Co-ordinates in due time the materials, equipment and services according to well program, being responsible for Field Tickets approval and materials receipt signature.

Regularly inspects rig and third-party equipment for adequate maintenance.

Prepare Final well report which including post appraisal well analysis, and hold a meeting with all the key personnel to discuss this post appraisal and include all the key learning’s and save all that in big database.

Responsible for preparation of well AFEs and detailed drilling time estimates.

Estimating wells budgets. Also responsible to do all the required studies and update the entire database for the bits, BHA’s, cement records, and drilling fluids.

Conduct studies and evaluations to optimize well design and promote safe and cost effective operation utilizing latest computer applications in Drilling industry.

Ensure that the project’s activities take place in accordance with current laws, regulations, requirements and guidelines.

Assist to create and or renew the drilling services tenders evaluation and contract & Follow up the vendors work is matched with the contract agreements terms / condition / payments / insurance / etc.

Responsible for preparing a scope of work of different tenders for different services such as: Drilling Rigs (offshore & onshore), Rock bits, Directional Equipment, Liner hanger, completion equipment, Site preparation for land rigs and Drilling Consultants. Also perform the Technical evaluation for the Technical offers of the said tenders.

Interfacing with subcontractors, preparing subcontracts, evaluating subcontractor services and commercials.

Review the contractor invoices prior to approved it and proceed for payment.

Make continuous efforts to improve drilling performance by well researched applications of new tools and techniques.

Drilling Supervisor on Onshore & Offshore Rigs: -

Supervising a single drill site operations and handle and perform all the operations such as drilling vertical, deviated, and horizontal wells including:

Running and Monitoring Drilling Bits.

Selecting and Observing Drilling Fluids.

Running and cementing casing, liners.

Perforation & Running completions.

Work over wells.

Fishing.

Coordinate and perform the drilling operation on a day-to-day basis, while ensuring the health and safety of personnel and environmental compliance. Participate in the morning call from rig to base office to discuss the days planned activities and the conditions encountered in the well, with revisions to the well design or well program and procedures that may result.

Generate and maintain company computerized reporting systems, ensuring timely completion and delivery of the morning report. Generation and maintenance of all equipment, bit and other inventory reports for the company.

In various rigs, advance planning, ordering tools, equipment, and materials for both drilling and work over operations. Checking rig procedures for my company’s safety policy, minimizing rig time to a minimum for cost efficient drilling.
