African Legend Indigo
I was working as an Internal Operations Manager since September 2007 until I got retrenched and my last working day was 22 June 2012. I was responsible for looking after the building after we relocated. The building was completely renovated and it was my responsibility to make sure that all renovations were done accordingly and all cables etc are in place. I am also responsible for our internal IT and server room, and I oversee the cleaning staff, driver and including stock, deliveries and ordering of stock etc in the absence of the logistics manager.
I was asked to give up my current duties as a Facilities Manager about 2 and a half years later to move back to IT as we experienced a loss in our financial system and that we needed to cancel our contract with our service provider. I and another employee are currently doing all the system administration and maintenance of the internal IT infrastructure and assisting with the building maintenance and security.
