- Source OEM parts for customer. Review customer designs, quality requirements and other technical documents. Deliver those information to global sourcing team and supported them to provide timely and competitive quote.
- Inspect samples and prepare First Article Inspection (FAI) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documents for customer approval.

Group Project: Optical 3D Surface Measurement, CHSLT, WPI Oct 2014 – Dec 2014 Set up the experiment in Center for Holographic Studies and Laser micro-mechatronics. Utilized fringe projection to scan the surface of a skull. Collected the image using single camera and transferred the image into points cloud data and rebuild the surface in CAD system. Research: 3D Printing With Mixed Materials, WPI Feb 2014 - May 2014 Summarized current metal additive manufacturing (3D printing) methods. Defined difficulties of applying two metal materials. Compared the properties of Cu-Ni alloy and Cu-Ni mixed printed material. Researched on the microstructure of the materials. Looked forward to possible improvement and application of metal 3D printing. Group Project: Skateboard Manufacturing Process Improvement, WPI Jan 2014 - May 2014 Worked in a team of 4 to improve the skateboard manufacturing process. Improved the productivity by using vacuum bags to decrease curing time as technic optimizing. Rearranged floor plan, researched on the cycle time waste using Value Stream Mapping and applied Lean Manufacturing to decrease the cycle time by 37%. Independent Project: Design of a Comprehensive Measuring Tool, WHUT, China Feb 2012 - Jun 2012 Analyzed the features of the given part, a car safety belt rewind mountain frame, which has both the geometric tolerance and related tolerance requirement. Designed a measuring tool. Designed the parameters, materials and tolerances of eight non-standard parts and do 3D modeling in Solidworks. Documented blueprints and design instruction.
Independent Project: Produce a Gearbox Cover Using CAD&CAM, WHUT, China Sep - Oct 2011 Established 3D model of the given specified cover of reduction gearbox using Solidworks. Designed the manufacturing processes including steps from casting to finish milling and planned the order according to the mechanical features. Defined the machining tools, toolpath and machining parameters. Simulated the milling process using MasterCAM and revised the auto-generated CNC program. Imported the program to CNC machining center and simulated.
