I am submitting my resume for consideration for the position of Office Assistant with MPIQC.

I was previously employed at Aultsville Theatre, Canadian Blood Services and Farm Boy Fresh Market as a Box Office Clerk, Payroll Clerk/Coordinator and Administrative Assistant and I believe that the skills and experiences I have gained in these positions make me an ideal candidate for the position.

My first job in this field was at Farm Boy Fresh Market in Cornwall as Receptionist then quickly moved into the position of Accts Payable Clerk then as a Payroll Clerk. These positions required a high level of organization, focus and attention to details. My skills then brought me to Canadian Blood Services in Ottawa where I was a Payroll Co-ordinator. After re-locating to Cornwall I then started volunteering at Aultsville Theatre and within a year was offered the position of Head Usher and Administrative Assistant to the Theatre Director. My excellent interpersonal, computer and superior communication skills earned the confidence of the Director where I was able to work independently and with little supervision.

I have a good working knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of an Office Assistant, am highly motivated and work well in a team and/or independently and I believe that I would be a great asset to your company. Objective

To secure the position of Office Assistant with MPIQC.

Qualifications

I am a dependable, highly motivated and exceptionally qualified individual with an attention to detail, am a team player with excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and organizational skills who can multi-task with ease, speak and write in both official languages.

Skills

Front of House Manager/Head Usher

Responsible for maintaining order and public safety/security during various public events

Fill out accident/incident reports as required

Conduct pre-show orientation as well as assign duties/responsibilities to volunteer ushers

Greet patrons as they enter the facility

Report directly to the theatre manager

Administrative Assistant

Set up and maintain filing system

Answer telephone inquiries, set up various office equipment

Prepare SOCAN reports monthly

Gather/generate data in order to create various reports for the Theatre Director

Prepare “Seat Plaque Requests” along with delivery of said requests to the engraver

Deliver bank deposits

Drop off/pick up mail from the Civic Complex administrative office

Sort and distribute mail, file and offer administrative support when needed

Box Office Clerk

Work with Admissions Ticketing software

Pick up tickets and seating charts for various public events from the Civic Complex

Serve the public

Answer telephone and email inquiries

Payroll Clerk/Coordinator

Electronically generate time card data from multiple locations, make any necessary changes then transmit the data to the bank on a biweekly basis.

Digitally track earned time, paid time off, calculate benefit contributions and wages for both hourly and salaried employees.

Track which employees had direct deposits and which received manual checks and to have both ready in a timely manner.

Prepare T4’s and year end reports, ROE’s and severance packages when required.

Computer Literacy

Familiar with and very comfortable navigating numerous software systems including but not limited to Admissions ticketing software, Accpac accounting software, Windows 10, Outlook Express, Word, Excel, Facebook, Twitter and Hotmail to name a few.
