Design Projects
Liberty University
1.Theo Jansen Walking Device
a.Transformed the rotational energy of a fan into linear “walking” motion through a 11-bar linkage system.
2.Self-Balancing Robot
a.Using the input from the gyroscope attached to the Arduino and a LEGO NXT motor, code was generated in Matlab to create a Segway type robot that could self-balance and adjust for small angles of deviation.
3.Baja Solidworks Model
a.Created a 3D model of a Baja vehicle including the frame, steering knuckle, and steering system.
4.Stirling Engine
a.Created a Stirling engine using a soda can, wire, floral foam, a CD, and a hot plate.
Times Fiber Communications
1.Floodant Transfer System
a.Designed a pipe system to pump 300 F floodant from reserve barrel to application tank safely without operator input and without stopping production.
2.3D Solidworks Model of Cable Box
a.Created Solidworks model of a cable box from functional prototype using measuring equipment for injection molding manufacturer.
