SUMMARY OF WORK HISTORY

I have been employed in the purchasing/planning position with a variety of companies involved in commercial and military production. Some of these companies were high volume production facilities and others were job shops. The result is that I have experienced a diverse range of procurement and planning techniques. I have established consignment programs, vendor managed inventory systems, blanket orders with vendor safety stock, kitting programs and long range partnering agreements. I have experience with a wide range of commodities from surface mounted components to large sand castings and service orders from concrete work to military technical manuals. I have been responsible for source selection from initial quality surveys through first article qualification. My understanding of the purchasing function and the production planning that drives it in the day to day operations as well as the long term direction of the company has grown with each new challenge.
