experience – interacting with executives

The Limited Stores:

I was the first to track the Marketing Budget. I worked with the Finance Department to create Excel Spreadsheet with formulas that allowed me to track each dollar spent. This included imputing each Purchase Order/dollar amount actuals versus estimates then reconciling each month/quarter/year. This had never been done before. I would then report the same to the EVP of Marketing and CFO.

There were biweekly meetings held and included the Executive Committee, all Merchant VP’s, all senior staff. The Marketing Department was represented by the EVP and VP of Marketing, and all senior Marketing staff members including myself. I worked with the VP of Marketing in this meeting as we presented to the President and the Executive Committee the season campaign, the weekly signage (which included banners, price point signs), etc. I was also responsible for reporting the costs versus budget, schedules, delivery, installation communications.

GSW / inventive:

I was responsible for the largest Scoped Work clients. I was Creative Services Supervisor of the Prevacid and Uloric teams. I had 8-10 direct reports. I was responsible for all estimates and chronologies (whether I created them myself or approved the ones created by staff). Monthly Financial meetings were held, and I was responsible for reporting all costs and staff utilization to the EVP’s and VP’s of said teams. I also worked with said EVP’s and VP’s to plan the balance of the year.

inServ / inventive:

Per client request, we conceptualized, created, and I personally executed the studio beta test. I reported the results to the VP of Creative Services. The successes I reported resulted in the launch of inServ Studio. I was one of the four people who developed and ironed out processes, established roles and responsibilities, and collaborated with Eli Lilly’s procurement team to ensure objectives were obtained.
