Senior Design: Work with a group of 7 people to create a fully autonomous robot that can switch lanes, read stop and speed signs, while passing around any objects or other moving robots on the track. Use Microsoft Projects to define major tasks, deliverables, and bill of materials. Use NX5 to create visual simulations of the robot and all components.

Finite Design and Analysis: Worked with a group of 2 students using ANSYS to discover and demonstrate the total stress and deformation upon a 2-story housing unit effected by the environmental conditions on Mars. Determined the most cost-effective means of transportation and construction of the housing unit on Mars.

Kinematics Design and Analysis: Collaborated in a team; used NX5 to create a crankshaft within a V-8 engine of a mustang. Presented pros and cons of the machines efficiency and the difference between the crankshafts used within a mustang compared to other cars.

Thermodynamics: Designed a Brayton cycle, considering the boundary conditions of Houston. Researched and calculated the prices of each specific part of machinery used in the original design.

Machine Design-Created a steel cantilever beam with and without a crank using ANSYS. Determined the maximum amount of force that could be applied without the mechanism failing.
