PROFILE SUMMARY

A qualified lead NDT technician, with 6 years’ experience in quality control inspection techniques during integrity management of chemical and gas refineries in the U.K. and Western Australia. The work-scopes encompass planned shut-downs, inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) of mature plants, plus inspection of piping and plant during the construction and commissioning of production facilities and modules for a new Liquefied Natural Gas plant offshore N.W. Australia. This experience has been enhanced by 4 years remote-access preparation, following successful Scaffolder training on sites in the U.K.

Currently actively progressing career in asset integrity management and QA/QC, through technical education, and undertaking higher level industry recognised qualifications, in welding inspection, N.D.T and Ultrasonics.

Contracted to client Chevron, as a Lead Hand Technician, on their Gorgon-Janz LNG plant construction on Barrow Island, 60 Km. offshore N.W. Australia.

• Multi-discipline inspection of new plant and modules during construction, hook-up and commissioning phases.

• The commissioning of Train 1, (of 5) is approaching completion which will allow start-up and production.

• In addition to hands-on responsibilities for the QA/QC and HSE of the inspection activity, responsibilities include regular client liaison to ensure compliance with the schedule.

• Previously technician assigned to IRM activities on various west coast sites, including Wesfarmers CSBP fertiliser facility, Tronox chemical plants and the B.P. refinery.

Initial training in basic non-destructive testing techniques, followed by hands-on NDT and ultrasonic testing on piping and plant, during 4 years working on industrial and petrochemical sites in the south of England.

• Work scopes included; NDT, conductivity, hardness and pressure testing during planned IRM and unplanned shutdowns, on sites including Marchwood power station, Exxon’s Fawley refinery and the Wytch Farm onshore oilfield in Dorset.
