Individual Business models in Anaplan and Data Integrations July 2014 – Feb 2015

This Phase initiated with the development of all the models that include the need for the budgeting and forecast like Malls, Mills/Premium Outlets, Management Co., SPG Hub, User Configuration for security, Workforce Planning etc. Each Model has many functional areas that included Dashboards and then modules within them

Phase – 2

Corporate Screen revise in Anaplan and PAF (Project Approval Form) March 2015 – July 2015

After the functionality has been complete on the 1st phase, this phase required more revise to the Home Office screens in Anaplan from the original implementation design. The current setup, while functionally complete, requires users to continually click back and forth among screens. Redesigning these screens to align with the current state workflow will significantly improve the productivity of home office staff as well as improving the usability of the application. The additional enhancements that are inclusive to Phase 2 changes in Anaplan were Gift Card Dashboard, Field Marketing Budgets, SBV and CapEx Forecast, Miscellaneous Income & Expense Accounts – Comments, Prop Mgmt Expense Units & Driver Export – Comments

Created Test Scripts for all the models and tested the data integrations within the models

Performed Regression testing to ensure the functionality from the previous design didn’t alter

This Phase also captured the creation of a new module in Anaplan that support the PAF (Project Approval Form) projects once they are been approved. Phase – 3

Development capital forecasting/Budgeting & Reporting solution Oct 2017 - Present

This Phase emphasized on replacing excel which was the primary tool for the development capital forecasting and reporting process. Budgeting/forecasting of cash spend spreads is completely manual and Imputed interest and development fee calculations utilized the data included in the budgeting/forecast file, so if there is an error in the forecast information it will carry over to those calculations which impact the income statement. Hence, the need for an upgrade to a more automated and less reliance on people was much needed for this upgrade in Anaplan

Salesforce – Simon Brand Ventures Replacement March 2015 – Sept 2015

Simon used SLIM SBV (Short term Leasing Simon Brand Ventures) which was implemented in 2004 as a derivative of SLIM and SSLE databases. In 2012, a solution was introduced for SBV which allowed proposal information (lease actions) to be entered and housed in Salesforce. Once the proposal becomes a deal, SBV must manually rekey into SLIM SBV. SLIM SBV can be cumbersome and less than efficient. If changes require a different workflow mid-stream, the user must start over. Reporting capabilities are limited in SLIM SBV. Hence Salesforce was used as a replacement

Simon’s current ERS system is Global Expense Reporting System (GERS) software provided by IBM. IBM has announced that they will retire GERS in March 2016. In the desired future state, Simon will have a system that provides the features currently in use from GERS. In addition, Simon desires the replacement system to be an improvement over the system being replaced.

Created test scripts and scenarios that include any kind of expenses that could be logged in the new system

The replacement of Slim database with salesforce is to have a continues strategic path of replacing Lotus Notes based applications (in accord with the recent SBVSLIM replacement project, Streamlined process from lead creation through Lease Completion, Improved data integrity in Salesforce, Better transparency into lease action conflicts early in the negotiation process between permanent leasing and specialty leasing, Improved Report/Dashboard Capabilities

Currently, lease agreements are physically mailed to tenants where tenants must sign and send a hardcopy of the lease agreement back to Simon thus both Simon and the tenant incur postage costs in the process of executing deals and mailings must be tracked and cycle times are increased for the deal and also hardcopies are stored on premises at the respective properties

Tested the DocuSign integration with Salesforce (existing document generation and workflow functionality will continue to be utilized)

To recreate a consumable Accounts Receivable data mart with CTI and FIRE data specific to Financial Operations Accounts Receivable, Lease Accounting, Legal Collections and Bankruptcy reporting currently done in Cognos from the legacy Accounts Receivable model. The new AR Mart model will be entirely sourced from the data vault table schemas and provide the ability for 'as of' date reporting, will switch the current method of aging from the due date to aging from the document date of billed charges, and provide greater granularity and flexibility for ad hoc reporting requests, including 'walk forward' reports.
