Role: Lead/Specialist-Testing
The Department of Labor (DOL) is expanding their definition of a fiduciary that has exposed opportunities for Nationwide to solidify existing partnerships and to grow as firms define their fiduciary status. The Morgan Stanley Fund Transfer project and Fund withdrawal information is one such opportunity. Nationwide will provide Morgan Stanley the capability to request real time Fund Withdrawal Information using web-service 212-09 and also the Real time Surrender Quote information using web-service 212-08 for any Policy. Morgan Stanley or any other carrier in future will utilize DTCC Value Inquiry web service to request real time fund transfer related financial information for a Policy. Nationwide will provide a real time response, which can be a success response with the contract financial information or a failure response with no contract financial information, upon request. Based on the Value Inquiry Information Morgan Stanley will choose to submit a request for Fund Transfer, Future Allocation Change to Nationwide using DTCC web services (102, 107,105). Nationwide must respond to the above fund exchange requests real time indicating if we accept or reject the request. If accepted, the transaction(s) will be processed overnight. Nationwide will send the final status (completed or rejected) to Morgan Stanley on Day 2 using the DTCC Confirm File.

Project: Amex/Discover Cards Conversions to Capital One accounts
Role: Sr Quality Analyst/Test Automation developer
Capital One’s recent acquisition of AMEX and Discover card portfolio has resulted in the need to integrate the systems at AC/DC CRS with those with in Capital One. As a result of this, ACDC Branded Book Portfolio accounts now need to be converted into Capital One account and all the AOs and ALEs that existed on these accounts should be translated or converted into Capital One’s format of AOs and ALEs. Customers will experience an association change and be converted to a MasterCard product during the conversion. New card and PIN numbers will be created with a MasterCard BIN during Dress Rehearsal. Customer facing number (for accounts not receiving new plastics) will be provided via a letter during Dress Rehearsal. Amex/Discover credit bureau data will be “merged” with Master Card data to ensure only one credit line is reported. Agents will be unable to perform a chargeback, retrieval, or dispute on any Amex/Discover transaction. Association Hard Switch will occur Amex/Discover authorizations will be shut down on the same day the MasterCard plastics begin working. For Offer Management Environment, Account-Offers will need to be loaded via a standalone on-demand process. The conversion will start with delivery of files from CRS to TS2 and creation of the accounts in TS2. Once converted, TSYS files will be delivered to the DDE which will consist only of the converted accounts. Offer Management will use these files to create Account offers and Account level exclusion data.

Product test delivery (PQS PTD) is the testing group for Allstate Insurance. Any project implement should be tested and signed off by Product Test Delivery (PTD) before it’s moved to production. We test all lines of business like Auto, Property and specialty lines. The specialty lines include the insurance for the off road vehicles such as Motor Boats, Motor Home, and Vehicles used in desert, etc. There are two applications available with Allstate Insurance for handling the Policy related transactions. They are the Alliance and the Alstar application. These applications will be used mainly used by the Exclusive agents working for the Allstate Insurance Company. The functionality of the Alliance and Alstar will be tested by PQS PTD team. Alliance application is developed in Java/JSP and DB2 is used as the backend. This application use the same database used by the Alstar application. Alstar Application is developed in AS 400 Mainframes system and Back end as DB2.
